Pension System Modernization

We are making progress on our new system

We understand the importance of reliable service, which is why the quality and integrity of this system is of the utmost importance. In-depth testing of the new platform has been our priority this year and will continue throughout the spring and summer, and the new system will only be rolled out when it is truly ready for success. Future phases of this multi-year project will focus on e-access improvements.

What you need to know

Implementing the new system may require that we take the full system, including e-access and myOMERS, off-line for a brief period before launch. Prior to the system shutdown, some e-forms may also be taken off-line. We know this will impact employers and we will minimize downtimes as much as possible. Timing and further details will be provided as we get closer to launch.

We will keep you informed with updates posted here and also by email. The following resources will also be available:

  • Webinars and e-Learning modules focused on the new system and e-access changes – register for a webinar
  • Current employer administration training material updates
  • Details provided at our Employer Workshops – sign up for an Employer Workshop
  • Dedicated OMERS support throughout the transition

Expected e-access changes

Outlined below are expected changes to e-forms and e-access. The e-form changes will be implemented when the new pension administration system goes live. To help you prepare in advance, more detailed updates will be posted here.
