As part of our goal of improving our processes and interactions with members and employers, we undertook a review of our disability process in 2017. Many discussions took place to identify and understand pain points that needed to be addressed. You asked for consistency, additional support tools, more frequent follow-up with members, simple communication and automated processes.
Work began with the focus on simplifying processes, enhancing education and training materials, and straightforward communications. We’re excited to announce that we’re ready to implement these enhancements in July, as we previously committed to you. Thank you to everyone who provided input and helped us with our disability review.
These enhancements support our continued commitment to partner with you to ensure consistent and transparent administration of disability processes while making sure that we provide members with the information they need about their benefit.
